Andy and I are coffee lovers. Coffee isn’t just a morning pick-me-up; it fuels us throughout the day. The stimulating, aromatic beverage arouses our senses in the morning and provides motivation and comfort all day long. A coffee-inspired day may not be your cup of tea. If, however, you are like Andy and I and java brings you true joy, then the Coleman 10-Cup Portable Propane Coffeemaker is a must have. When access to electricity or fire is not convenient or available, you can still have your cup of joe.

Making coffee in the outdoors with the Coleman 10-Cup Portable Propane Coffeemaker was a snap. Once the propane cylinder was installed, I prepared the coffee just like I do at home with my automatic drip coffeemaker: I pulled out the filter, added the desired amount of coffee, filled the carafe with water, poured the desired amount of water into the reservoir, placed the empty carafe onto the warming plate, and waited approximately fifteen minutes for the brew cycle to complete.

The only installation required was screwing the regulator into the connector and then screwing the propane bottle into the regulator. The instructions were easy to follow, and while I did not need to refer to it, a trouble shooting section is included. I should mention that the carafe holds 10 cups, but one cup of water was absorbed during the brewing process. If you want a 10-cup pot of coffee, you will need to add an additional cup after you pour the water from the carafe into the reservoir.
