    StokesMe Bowl-a-Rama on Setpember 16th

The third annual StokesMe campaign returns in September adding an industry bowling night, the StokesMe Bowl-A-Rama.

The inaugural StokesMe Bowl-A-Rama will be held on the night of September 16th at Costa Mesa 55 Tavern + Bowl in Triangle Square. The night will feature teams of brands, retailers, professional athletes, and beneficiaries going head to head in competition for the title of 2014 StokesMe Bowl-A-Rama Champions. The bowling night will happen during the Hurley Pro and is fully supported by the ASP. Surf industry brands are getting involved by taking sponsorship packages that includes one or more bowling teams, lane decoration, drink tokens for the night, promotion on all StokesMe outlets and media impressions.

All of the funds raised through the bowling night, as well as those raised through other StokesMe initiatives in September, will go directly to the 2014 SIMA Humanitarian Fund beneficiaries. The 2014 beneficiaries include AccesSurf, Best Day Foundation, Boarding for Breast Cancer, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation, Life Rolls On, Mauli Ola Foundation, Outdoor Outreach, STOKED, SurfAid, Surfers Healing, and Waves for Water.

“We’re excited to throw this fun event in our backyard,” said Ross Garrett, President of the SIMA Humanitarian Fund. “Mixing brands, retailers, beneficiaries and the best surfers in the world who will be in town for the Hurley Pro will be a great way to raise money for these important humanitarian organizations.”

StokesMe unites surf industry retailers, brands and consumers with the common goal of raising funds to support surf-related humanitarian organizations that are dedicated to improving the life, health and/or welfare of people.

Along with funds recently raised at the Switchfoot Bro Am, where Stokes Me was a beneficiary, StokesMe is also bringing back the retailer add-a-buck initiative during the month of September. Selected retailers across the country will be asking customers to add a dollar to their purchase in order to donate to StokesMe.
