OIA to Introduce Sales Process Management Educational Topic at OR Summer 2014

Seminar to Focus on B2B Sales Process Efficiency, Increasing Sales Growth Revenues and Implementing Green Business Practices

Sales process management will be featured for the first time as an Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) educational topic at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer 2014 industry forum in Salt Lake City August 6-9, 2014.  The educational session will focus on best practices by progressive outdoor manufacturers to achieve new levels of B2B sales process efficiency, increase sales growth revenues and implement green business practices.

OIA has selected Josh Reddin, industry veteran and CEO of Elastic Inc., as the leader of a dynamic, interactive one-hour seminar designed to help OR attendees better understand sales process management (SPM) and develop applied strategies that deliver bottom line results.  The session will feature and demonstrate actual applications currently in use at manufacturers representing some of the largest brands within the outdoor industry.

“This truly unique learning opportunity should motivate manufacturers to embrace the positive behavioral change we are seeing within our industry,” says Reddin.  “Attendees will gain great insight on how to best differentiate their brands in the B2B space while building compelling stories around new product releases.  They hopefully will leave the show with creative ideas for actionable strategies that will yield tangible results.”

Topics to be covered relating to sales process efficiency include platform consolidation, digital catalogs, segmented sales strategies, streamlined order entry, inventory optimization and product sample reduction.  The discussion of increasing sales growth revenue will cover visual merchandising, strengthening brand equity, new market penetration, increased client acquisition/retention and enhanced sales presentations.  Achievement of green business practices will focus on resource optimization, paper reduction, reduced shipping, reduced travel and fuel efficiency.

The seminar is titled “Sales Process Management is Driving Bottom Line Results” and is scheduled for noon to 1 pm on Friday, August 8 in the Deer Valley Salon at the Salt Lake Downtown Marriott Hotel adjacent to the Salt Palace Convention Center.
