Nordic Cross-country Legends Meet One More Time

Finnish Juha Mieto was defeated by Swedish Thomas Wassberg in the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics by only 0,01 seconds. And that is the smallest ever margin in the history of cross-country skiing.

This traumatic event has not been forgotten in the minds of the Finns. The Nordic sport nation has experienced many other bitter defeats, but never by such a small margin as a hundredth of a second.

Now is the time to seek revenge! The skiing legends will meet again, but this time the ski poles have changed into axes and skis into logs.

The Return of the Legends will happen at ABC in Heinola, on the 14th of June 2014 at 11AM.
