    Ohiopyle State Park boasts over 20,000 acres, offering tons of outdoor fun in the form of hiking, biking, fishing, camping and white-water rafting! Whether you visit for a day or a week, there’s plenty to keep the whole family occupied. Here are some of the highlights:

    Whitewater Rafting on the Youghiogheny River

    Ohiopyle is renowned for its whitewater rafting on the Youghiogheny River. Whether you’re a seasoned rafter or a first-timer, the river offers varying levels of rapids, from the gentle Class I and II sections for beginners to the thrilling Class III and IV rapids. Several local outfitters provide guided trips, ensuring a safe and exciting experience.

    Ohiopyle State Park is a paradise for hikers and bikers. The park boasts more than 79 miles of trails, ranging from easy walks to challenging treks.

    Perhaps the most popular attraction in the park is the Meadow Run Natural Waterslides, where visitors can slide down smooth rock formations into refreshing pools.

    For those seeking more adventure, Ohiopyle also offers excellent rock climbing opportunities. The cliffs along the river provide a perfect setting for climbers of all skill levels. Additionally, the park features activities such as zip-lining, horseback riding, and even winter sports like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

    For a cozy breakfast or lunch, The Bittersweet Café has homemade pastries, hearty sandwiches, and fair-trade coffee with a beautiful outdoor seating area.

    Ohiopyle House Café is another gem in the heart of town. This café offers a diverse menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. From gourmet pizzas to fresh salads and delicious desserts, there’s something for everyone.

    Part of the outfitter, Wilderness Voyageurs Restaurant and Bar is a great spot to unwind after a day of rafting or hiking. The menu features a mix of hearty American fare and local favorites. Relax with a cold beer on their outdoor patio and swap adventure stories with fellow travelers.
