Boardworks Surf, a leader in the Stand up Paddle Board industry announced the addition of Travis McMaster and Dave Farkas to its national sales team to cover Arizona and Northern California.

Travis McMaster will be focusing his sales efforts on the state of Arizona. Boardworks National Sales Manager Ryan Guay commented,“I have known Travis for while, he is a great rep and fits perfectly into the Boardworks family. Its great when you can find an athlete that can talk from experience, but also button it up and be a true professional, I expect he will turn over every rock in the dry state of Arizona and find us some great retail partners.” Travis has interned at the United States Olympic Committee, living at the OTC. Since then, he has been in outside sales with Pepsi, Glaxo Wellcome Pharmaceuticals as well has having been the former Sales Manager of Gramicci. Beyond the sales arena, Travis is an accomplished MTB racer, Ultra Marathoner, and Triathlete since 1991 having attended several World Championships…not to mention he skis, snowboards and plays amateur ice hockey as he finds time.  He looks forward to his first SUP race in Parker, AZ in November.

Dave Farkas will be focusing on Northern California sales, and specifically the inland Canoe and Kayak shops. Dave grew up in Canada as a skier, and found whitewater kayaking as another source of adrenaline, he has been professional white water kayaker for the past ten years, and has traveled all over the Americas on a multi year adventure. Over the couple years Dave has gotten involved in Stand Up Paddling in the ocean and of course in the rivers and lakes of the Western US. “Dave was introduced to me from the Badfish guys (one of Boardworks premier brands), and we immediately started a discussion on the Northern California paddling scene. California is a big state, and it is easy to spend all your time focusing on the Coastal accounts, but we know there is some great potential in the inland mountains.” Says Ryan Guay
