Vapur Expands Outdoor Representation

Vapur immediately catapulted a cult-like following when it first launched its innovative Anti-Bottle in 2009. Now, as a leading developer and designer of the most flexible hydration systems on the market, Vapur expands its reach to the active, outdoors enthusiast through specialized outdoor representation.

Vapur is thrilled to be working with Dana Caraway of Dana Caraway & Co., Lois and Jerry Horton of Horton & Co., and Michael Schmidt of Velocity Sales, as the company ramps up its presence in the sports and outdoor market.

Representing Vapur in the Southwest region, the team at Caraway & Co. has 17 years of outdoor industry experience in product development, brand management, design, sourcing, key account management, and sales. The agency, which includes Caraway, Mason Daly and Kimberley Flores, focuses on representing brands that provide customers with innovative products, great brand stories and good business. In addition to Vapur, Caraway & Co manages business in the Southwest (California, Nevada, Arizona and/or Hawaii) for several companies including Outdoor Research, Horny Toad, and Chico Bags.

Jerry and Lois Horton of Horton & Co. have represented top outdoor companies in the South-Central territory for 20 years. In addition to their expertise in the industry as sales reps, Jerry’s 15 years in outdoor specialty retail will invariably help Vapur reach new customers and demographics by connecting the company’s brand to key retail partners and distributors. The Horton Co. also represents other leading outdoor companies, such as Outdoor Research, Carve Designs, and Haiku.  The duo will provide support to Vapur in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Velocity Sales & Marketing is a team of specialty outdoor representatives servicing the Northeast. The team—Mike Schmidt, Bill Bruzzese, Jason Cote and Brian Hamann—has more than 20 years in the industry, with experience spanning performance and lifestyle apparel, footwear and technical hardgoods. They pride their work as sales representatives for some of the most respected brands in the industry, including Marmot, Nikwax and SCARPA. Their market of representation includes Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Vapur’s new Element Anti-bottle, which was created with the outdoor enthusiast in mind, is hitting stores this month. Designed to meet the greater hydration demands of athletes and all those living an active lifestyle, the Element is equipped with a new widemouth Supercap for greater drinkability. Additionally, the integrated attachment clip allows the Element to hang on tight no matter the terrain or the abuse. When the bottle is empty, it can fold to fit in your pocket or backpack, making it lighter and easier to pack out. Download the Press Release for full details.

“The entire team at Vapur is very excited to be working with these rep groups to help elevate our commitment to the industry and our partners, and to continue to challenge us on innovation,” says Brent Reinke, co-founder and chief operating officer for Vapur. “Their combined experience offers a wealth of talent and an endless reach, and we look forward to working with them to further our support to all our retail partners and our customers.”
