    Women’s Adventure Magazine Names Rebecca Heaton Editor-in-Chief

    Boulder, Colo., Jun 10, 2011 –

    Women’s Adventure magazine is pleased to appoint Rebecca Heaton to the position of Editor-in-Chief, effective immediately.
Rebecca brings to the staff more than 15 years of media experience in the outdoor industry.
    “We are very excited to have Rebecca on board,” says Publisher Sue Sheerin. “She brings the knowledge, passion and leadership that will help the Women’s Adventure community continue to grow.”

    Rebecca was most recently Executive Editor for the Competitor network of sports and fitness magazines, where she worked her way up from local editor of the Colorado edition to planning and writing national content and managing local editors in 11 different markets.

    “I am thrilled to be joining the Women’s Adventure team as it has been a dream of mine to work for a publication focusing specifically on the outdoor lifestyle for women,” says Rebecca. “I live and breathe many of the sports and activities we cover, so I look forward to guiding the magazine and infusing my passion into our edit to help make this the leading women’s outdoor and fitness magazine.”
