    Assistant Merchandiser (Buyer), Men’s Optics

    THE RUNDOWN

    The Men’s Optics Assistant buyer is responsible for delivering the sales and margin objectives for men’s category AFA on both Oakley.com and OakleyVault.com.  This Assistant Buyer will need to work closely with the optics product team, product marketing and the other sales channels. This position will be responsible for providing guidance and recommendations on daily operations, systems, key performance indicators, and best practices. The individual must have the ability to balance a highly creative sense with strong analytical skills.  This position reports to the Men’s AFA Buyer.

    THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Deliver budgeted men’s optics sales and gross margin objectives for Oakley.com and OakleyVault.com
    • Manage optics forecast at the SKU, style, and category levels for demand planning and manufacturing
    • Provide weekly business updates to ecommerce team including a summary of trends, KPI, and upcoming key business drivers
    • Manage inventory reserve to minimize out of stock conditions
    • Daily performance monitoring to evaluate top/bottom selling styles and identify opportunities to continuously improve performance
    • Work with buying and planning to support markdowns and transfers
    • Manage product content through CMS, including product launches, attribution, flow from Oakley.com to OakleyVault.com and removal of product
    • Request and track image and merchandising assets for Oakley.com and OakleyVault.com
    • Identify opportunities in special product builds for Oakley.com or OakleyVault.com and align with product team to execute on opportunities

    THE QUALIFIERS

    • 2+ years of experience in Ecommerce buying/merchandising
    • 1+ years of experience of business reporting in buying/merchandising
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office – especially Word and Excel
    • Experience with internet technology platforms and tools
    • Motivated self-starter and process-oriented with high attention to detail
    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
