ROKA is seeking a Controller to join our business team and take ownership of several financial functions. We’re looking for a self-starter who has a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes, with a track record of being a strong, hands-on leader.  The ideal candidate will have experience with and passion for the challenges and opportunities presented to high growth companies.

DUTIES

• Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and controls
• Ensure propoer accounting contrls and processes are implemented
• Create and prepare monthly financial statements
• Review financial transactions for proper revenue recognition
• Analyze and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results against established targets, including budget, forecast and cost models
• Oversee annual budget periodic forecast updates
• Identify revenue growth and cost savings opportunities
• Prepare and distribute periodic management report packages
• Oversee the monthly and quarterly accounting close process and all financial reporting requirements,
• Manage relationships with accountants, banks and other financial entities.

MUST HAVES

• Bachelor degree in finance or accounting
• 8-12+ years experience in accounting
• Excellent GAAP knowledge
• Proven ability to partner with members outside accounting and finance
• Very strong communication skills with experience creating and delivering effective presentations to senior management
• Comfortable with fast-paced, demanding environment. Must manage multiple tasks and juggle several urgent demands at any given point, while adapting to changing priorities
• Great attitude and team player
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

NICE TO HAVES

• Work experience with a BIG 4 accounting firm
• CPA
• MBA
• Proficiency with Netsuite
• Working knowledge of the structure and accounting policies for international subsidiaries
• Action sports industry work experience
• Interest in and enthusiasm for endurance sports
