The Global Category Manager is responsible for managing the Snowshoe Product Line. The position works closely with the Product, Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain Teams to develop product lines which exceed market needs and financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for global snowshoe product line strategy.
• Drive innovation.  Manage the design engineers to develop technologies and products.
• Work with factories to insure good quality, on-time delivery and competitive costs.
• Manage snowshoe design and engineering resources to produce engineering deliverables which support the manufacturing of snowshoe products that meet engineering and schedule requirements.
• Act as a focal point across sales, marketing and operations for the communications related to snowshoes.
• Work on product key feature descriptions and positioning statements.
• Create and administer the financial model throughout the year.  Model should act as a clear planning tool for financial goals and product needs.  Deliver product presentations at sales meetings and key customer events.
• Attend global events to support snowshoe sales
• Achieve Category Manager deliverables on the timelines.
• Travel to trade shows, sales and planning meetings, on-snow tests and manufacturing facilities.  International travel is required 4-6 times per year.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in design and/or engineering and product management of sporting goods products.
• Adept use of Microsoft Office software.
• Self motivated.
• Willingness to spend considerable time traveling abroad to support program needs.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
• Passionate and proficient outdoors sportsperson
