    International Sales Coordinator

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    The Sales Assistant performs a variety of clerical and administrative activities to support the International sales team. The Sales Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of

    information and follow up for existing and prospective customers. This position reports to the Director of Sales. This position potentially holds good growth opportunity within the department.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Processing sales leads and assuring leads are directed to the appropriate staff member.
    • Performs trade show follow up to assure timely delivery of literature and samples.
    • Phone contacts to augment the efforts of the sales staff as needed.
    • Processing sales data, sales progress reports and other sales related records and reports.
    • Data entry to track the delivery of sales literature, product samples and other necessary services to customers as directed by the sales staff or management.
    • Performs the duties of international shipping of sales support literature and customer orders under the direction of the International Sales Manager.
    • Answers telephone calls, conveys messages, and monitors the flow of e-mail.
    • Answers routine product questions and directs questions to appropriate personnel when necessary.
    • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
    • Coordinate some travel

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Excellent telephone skills and computer knowledge with proficiency in database management and word processing. Intermediate skill with Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
    • Demonstrated proficiency composing written communications.
    • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
    • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented.
    • 3-5 year’s previous job experience with customer service or sales support experience.

    Detail oriented, Creative thinker who looks forward and seeks to improve processes. Ability to multi task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices.
    • Provides occasional guidance, some of which is technical.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT

    • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.
