Spinney Mountain State Park | ActionHub

Lathrop State Park is holding a meeting for people interested in becoming park volunteers. The meeting is Saturday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. at the park visitor center. Come enjoy some refreshments and learn about the exciting volunteer opportunities occurring at Lathrop State Park during the summer.

Volunteer projects include shoreline restoration, habitat improvement, trash cleanup days, and trail workdays. Signup sheets will be available at this meeting for workdays throughout the summer.

Lathrop State Park is also seeking those interested in ongoing volunteer opportunities such as forming a “Friends of Lathrop State Park” group, which would act as an independent organization devoted to fundraising for critical programs at the park.

Families and youth are welcome at any of our volunteer events. The benefits of volunteering with Lathrop include earning a FREE parks pass, giving back to your community, staying healthy, and contributing to Colorado’s wonderful natural resources.
