During last week’s Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, I caught up with the team over at Sperry Top-Sider to check out what styles are planned for release next spring. From flexible women’s flats that are perfect for daily and around-water wear to the incorporation of a wider array of colors, it’s evident the brand wants to provide a product option for everyone. Most of the new shoes are for women. For men reading this article, go ahead and skip down to the Voyager Sandal, which is last on the list.

“There are a lot of new, fun styles that you can wear at the beach and anywhere in between,” said Mackenzie Carroll from Backbone Media.

Point Breeze Oxford

The Point Breeze Oxford is a lightweight, breathable lifestyle sneaker for women that’s perfect for boating or everyday wear. It includes a removable, full-length molded EVA footbed that increases comfort, as well as nylon and mesh uppers and linings that allow the shoes to dry quickly. The outsole features Adaptive Wave-Siping that disperses water for improved traction on all surfaces, and ASV Technology in the heel that absorbs vibration and reduces shock up to 30 percent. The shoe will be available for women in Grey, Black Iris, and Black color schemes, retailing for $90.

“It’s a really feminine silhouette, but athletic looking and made with a lot of technical materials that we use in our more performance shoes,” said Athlete Marketing Manager Corey Farrell. “It’s a great lifestyle shoe, kind of like a retro sneaker.”

Point Breeze Skimmer

The Point Breeze Skimmer is described as being a sleeker alternative to a traditional boat shoe, but is also great for everyday wear. It features a removable, full-length compression molded EVA footbed for comfort, nylon and mesh uppers and linings for fast drying, and a simple slip-on style. The outsole includes Adaptive Wave-Siping and ASV Technology. It will be available for women in Grey/Peach, Black, and Black Iris color schemes, and will retail for $90.

Point Breeze Sport

The Point Breeze Sport is the perfect on-water, slip-on shoe with criss-cross straps that secure the top of the foot. It features a removable, full-length compression molded EVA footbed for comfort, nylon and mesh uppers and linings for fast drying, and the straps that provide a look that transitions from the water to everyday wear. The outsole also has Adaptive Wave-Siping and ASV Technology. The shoe will be available for women in Grey/Pink, Black Iris, Angel Blue, and Black color schemes for $90.

Point Breeze Sport Slide

This slip-on sandal includes plenty of traction for boat wear, but is stylish enough to pair with jeans as well. It features a nylon and mesh upper for fast drying, a mesh-lined band for a secure fit, as well as Adaptive Wave-Siping and ASV Technology in the outsole. It will be available for women in Grey/Pink, Sperry Navy, and Black color schemes for $75.

Point Breeze Strap Sandal

The Point Breeze Strap Sandal is also a great shoe that transitions from on the deck to in town. Similar to the other new shoes, it features the nylon and mesh uppers for fast drying, and the outsole includes Adaptive Wave-Siping and ASV Technology. It will be available for women in Black, Cabaret, Sperry Navy, Fluorescent Yellow, and Fluorescent Peach, and will retail for $75.

Point Breeze X-Strap

The Point Breeze X-Strap is similar in style to the Point Breeze Sport because of its slip-on style and criss-cross straps on the top of the foot—although these straps are quite a bit thicker on the X-Strap version. Again, it’s great for on-water or general lifestyle wear. The upper features a removable, full-length compression molded EVA footbed for comfort, nylon and mesh uppers and linings for fast drying, and the straps for a secure fit. The outsole also has Adaptive Wave-Siping and ASV Technology. It will be available for women in Navy, Charcoal Grey, and Bluebird color schemes for $90.

SON-R Flex

The SON-R Flex is my personal favorite of the new offerings for women. It’s an extremely lightweight, flexible slip-on that bends into a U shape when not being worn (shown in the main image). The upper includes a removable footbed that has independent chambers for improving sensory feedback, in turn increasing agility. The outsole includes patented SON-R Technology and Adaptive Wave-Siping. Unlike other water shoes I own, this is similar to a slipper in style and would be ideal for SUP, because it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a shoe, yet the traction provided is extremely beneficial. It will be available for women in Cabaret, Bermuda, Violet Storm, Hot Coral, Black, Grey, and Graphite color schemes, with a retail price of $85.

SON-R Pulse 2 Strap

This sandal is an upgrade from the first version, opting to include not only a strap that goes over the top of the foot, but one around the ankle as well. Perfect for a number of water sports such as boating, fishing, and sailing, these shoes include the compression molded EVA footbed with independent chambers for comfort and sensory feedback, nylon and mesh uppers for quick drying, Velcro ankle straps, and leather accents. The outsole features SON-R Technology. It will be available for women in Cashmere Blue, Linen, and Black for $70.

Voyager Sandal

Last but not least is the Voyager Sandal, which is available for both men and women. Expanding on the original Voyager, which was a completely closed shoe, the sandal option is another great multi-sport shoe, and one that provides a secure fit for technical wear. It has the removable, full-length compression molded EVA footbed for comfort, is light in weight, an adjustable bungee for customized fit, and uppers and linings that are fast drying. It also includes Adaptive Wave-Siping and ASV Technology. It will be available for men in Grey, Black, Brown, and Olive Green, and for women in Black, Grey/Bermuda, and Bearing Sea. All will retail for $100.
