    Video: A Look Inside the ABSA Cape Epic

    Known as the Tour de France of mountain bike racing, the ABSA Cape Epic takes competitors through 400 miles and 50,000 feet of climbing in rugged South African terrain. Spanning over one week, the high-temperature race puts athletes to the ultimate test.

    In the first episode of the EpicTV series Racing the Untamed, viewers get a look inside the competition, specifically at the original Bulls team of Karl Platt and Stefan Sahm that began in 2007. The team won that year despite Platt suffering from a dislocated shoulder during the race—they won again in 2009 and 2010.
