    Volcom Releases ‘VEECO’ Trailer

With so many great outdoor films set to be released this year, including Wild and Unbroken, Volcom is hoping to cash in as well. Delving into the company’s extensive video library, filmmaker and former professional snowboarder, Jamie Heinrich has compiled 21 years of footage to create the feature-length documentary, VEECO.

Not only is the film packed with a wide variety of unbelievable stunts, it chronicles the growth and development of Volcom and its presence in the action sports film industry. Athletes and filmmakers who helped create movies like Alive We Ride, The Garden, Stoney Baloney, Subjekt Haakonsen, Magna Plasm, and Chichagof offer first-hand, behind-the-scenes commentary that weaves the Volcom story into one cohesive and inspiring tale.

Next week, the company will screen the film for a select audience in California, but everyone is able to “reserve your seat” for the online wide release on August 26.

The montage of quotes at the end of the trailer sums it up best; “It’s so awesome to see stuff that can stand the test of time… an evolution of board-sports legacy explaining to the future generations of rider where it came from…I don’t know what I would have done without them.”
