Crowdfunding to Begin for Boston Indoor Snow Sports Facility

The Lab Freestyle would bring an indoor ski and snowboard facility to Boston.

Currently, residents of Boston must travel outside the city whenever they want to ski or snowboard. The Lab Freestyle is hoping to change that.

Information about the planned indoor ski and snowboard facility has been posted on Newschoolers.com, and organizers have noted that a crowdfunding campaign will launch within the next few weeks. Similar to Snogression in Salt Lake City, the facility would include a low-angle rail garden, trampolines, a jump with a foam pit, and a cliff drop, according to Powder.

If the crowdfunding campaign is successful, the organizers hope to open The Lab Freestyle’s doors within the next year. It would not only serve as a state-of-the-art training facility for experienced athletes, but would welcome beginners in snow sports as well. “Whether you’re a newbie gearing up for your very first run, or a seasoned vet trying to master the elusive double cork 1260, The Lab will be your space to experiment, explore, and gear up for a truly awesome ride,” a post on Newschoolers.com reads.
