Many mountain bikers enjoy thrills and living on the edge. This is often what draws them to the sport in the first place. However, some mountain biking trails are exceptionally dangerous. If you go mountain biking on any of the following trails, then you need to proceed with extreme caution because one false move could result in death.

    Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

The Cliffs of Moher in Ireland are a famous tourist attraction. People from all over the world come to gaze at these famous cliffs. The cliffs rise hundreds of feet out of the ocean. Most people view the cliffs from a safe distance back. However, there is a mountain biking trail that goes right along the edge of the cliffs. One wrong move on this trail, and you will fall five hundred feet into the Atlantic Ocean.

Porcupine Rim Mountain Bike Trail, Moab, Utah

This is one of the most famous mountain biking trails in the world. However, it is also extremely dangerous. This trail winds down mountains and the trail is extremely narrow. It goes over very technical rock sections and at times comes only a foot or two away from the edge of the mountain. The drop is hundreds of feet. So any rider who is not paying careful attention could easily end up going over the edge. Be extremely careful if you attempt to ride this beast.

    Yungas Road, Bolivia

Yunga Road in Bolivia is a very narrow road that was cut into a mountain to allow both bikers and cars to pass along the steep slope. Although the trail is mostly flat, there are mudslides, rock slides, oncoming cars, and other dangers. Like the other two trails on this list, one false move and you are surely dead. 13 cyclists have died on this trail since 1998. Don’t be the fourteenth!
