Casio Pro Trek PRG270 Watch | ActionHub

It can be very easy to tear up your gear and accessories during the course of a camping or hiking trip. Over the years, I have gone through several watches that couldn’t hold up to the outdoor lifestyle. I recently gave the Casio Pro Trek PRG270 a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a durable and useful watch for anybody who enjoys spending time outside.

It is extremely useful for hikers and campers. For hikers who enjoy mountainous terrain, this watch can tell you the current altitude, and keep a log of altitude changes throughout your trek. The watch also has a barometer and thermometer that can come in handy while outdoors. Another welcome asset is the device’s digital compass. The compass has a 360-degree measuring range and a bearing memory. A compass is essential for hiking in new areas where you can become disoriented easily.

I like to camp throughout most of the year, but it seems that I camp most often in summer. What would summer camping be without swimming? With this watch it is not a problem to leave it on while enjoying a swim with friends and family in the river, lake, and so on. I got this watch wet on several occasions, and I completely submerged it too. I experienced zero issues after doing this.

The Pro Trek has several features that set it apart from other watches designed for outdoor lifestyles. The first thing I appreciated in particular was the solar-powered battery. This watch has a rechargeable solar battery that will last up to nine months without any further exposure to sunlight—in this sense, the PRG270 is truly “powered by light.”

Other handy features include the ability to show times for sunrise and sunset, 31 time zones to set to, and the full calendar. The sunset feature was helpful to plan around firewood gathering and when to start setting up camp. The watch also has the ability to set up five alarms, and it has a stopwatch and countdown timer. The LED backlight comes in handy when out on family camping trips or when going on overnight hiking trips. I really enjoyed just opening up the box and playing with all of the fun features. I recommend you do the same before you go out into the wild so you don’t miss out on any of the great things this watch can offer. There is a detailed set of instructions on how to use all of the watch’s gadgets for people who are not really that tech savvy like me. I highly recommend this watch to people who love the outdoors like myself. You will not be disappointed.

    Quality

This is not a watch that you will easily tear up. I think the quality is very high, and it can be worn with confidence through rugged terrain and activities.

    Reliability

Every time that I tried out a new feature of this watch it worked flawlessly. The watch keeps good time, and it is by no means fragile. The battery life is fantastic and they never need to be changed. Overall, this watch is extremely reliable.

    Price/Value

This watch is typically sold for about $180. That seems like a steal to me. Watches can go for ridiculous amounts of money. This watch has a ton of wonderful features and it is a great quality. This prices is more than fair for this product. I do not think there is a better watch on the market at the same price.

    Referability

I would refer this watch to any of my friends and family that enjoy the outdoors. I also think this watch would make an excellent gift for that outdoor lover in your family.
