Just over one month ago, Priority Bicycles launched a 30-day Kickstarter campaign. Its mission was to make cycling easier for the recreational rider by offering a low cost, high quality, virtually maintenance-free bicycle. Priority set a modest pledge goal of $30,000, but quickly surpassed industry expectations by hitting its initial funding goal in under three hours while also earning a “staff pick” accolade from Kickstarter. Media outlets across the nation were abuzz with the brand’s quick growth and simple, stylish designs. Priority finally celebrated the end of their crowd-funding late last week by clearing over $556,000 in sales and placing over 1,500 bikes in production for consumer delivery before the end of the year.

After hitting its goal 18 times over, the New York-based company is announcing that pre-orders for its bicycles are now being accepted on the Priority Bicycles website, at a discounted rate of $389, which includes shipping and a smartphone holder (a total package value of $429). Pre-orders will be accepted through the end of November 2014, with all bicycles delivering in December in time for holiday giving. Priority Bicycles also come with a liberal 30-day return policy with no questions asked.

Priority Bicycles are designed for novice cyclists, recreational riders and every-day commuters looking for a dependable, enjoyable, and eco-conscious form of transportation. The bicycles are built from lightweight, rust-free aluminum and available in two styles: a traditional diamond frame and a smaller, step-thru frame. Priority features an innovative, lubrication-free belt drive in place of standard greasy chains, braking and gearing systems that require virtually zero maintenance, a kickstand, water bottle cage, comfortable seat, and tire pump. The bicycles assemble in four steps that take five minutes and require no previous technical bike knowledge.
