Rocky Mountain Adventure Junkies Announce GRAND OPENING of Retail Store

A group of young, thrill-seeking entrepreneurs are announcing the grand opening of their premiere retail store and Adventure Junky headquarters in Thornton, Colorado on August 23, a decision that subsequently followed the success of the group’s online company called Rocky Mountain Adventure Junkies, a one-stop directory for local adventure-based businesses. The store will expand the company’s retail clothing line that was successfully launched on the website.

Lorin Rice, who is passionate about the outdoors and adventure sports, started “The site is a resource for anyone who lives in Colorado or is just visiting to find the best adventures, action sports, events, videos, news, and activities that the state has to offer. It aims to help you, the adventure-seeker, spend less time surfing the web trying to find your next activity, and more time living the Adventure Junky lifestyle,” said Rice. The website also boasts daily blogs, news about adventures, a video series, and first hand accounts of local adventure companies.

RMAJ recently teamed up with Cinepro Studios in order to produce their very own video series featuring the Junky Team in their latest adventures. “The Junky team, who are not experts at any one sport, exhibits how anyone with a sense of adventure can turn into an Adventure Junky by getting involved in the diverse range of activities that Colorado has to offer,” said RMAJ’s Editor-in Chief, Reed Greisen. RMAJ videos have featured local companies such as iFly, Liquid Descent, Mountain Skillz, and Oxotic Drives.

“The popularity of the RMAJ clothing line was the driving force behind deciding to open the retail store,” said Rice. “Our clothing line uniquely caters to active, adventure-seeking individuals with our line of fitness wear, hats, and shirts for men and women. Not only is the clothing practical for active individuals, but it’s great for anyone who wants to show some Colorado pride since each garment features the unique Junky hand logo that incorporates our beloved Colorado state flag.”

The grand opening will take place on Saturday, August 23 and 24 from 10am- 9pm at 1281 E. 120th Avenue Unit C in Thornton, CO. Patrons can expect raffle prize giveaways for local adventures in Colorado, such as go-cart racing, indoor skydiving, personal training, and exotic car rentals. “We invite the community to stop in and check us out!” said Lorin Rice. “You can expect adventure giveaways, networking with plenty of thrill-seeking adventure enthusiasts, and discounts on apparel.”
