CLIF Bar offers a new way to explore the outdoors with Meet the Moment. The program encourages people to capture a moment of outdoor adventure and post an image to their social channels with #MeetTheMoment. Each time a participant uses the hashtag #MeetTheMoment, they generate a donation to an environmental non-profit.

CLIF Bar believes adventures are not just about the finish, but what happens along the way. Participating in Meet the Moment not only inspires people to explore the outdoors, it helps Protect the Places We Play. When someone shares a photo using the hashtag #MeetTheMoment on their social channels, CLIF Bar will donate $1 (up to $100,000) to one of seven environmental non-profits each month (International Mountain Biking Association, American White Water, Leave No Trace, Surfrider Foundation, Access Fund, WinterWildlands Alliance and Protect Our Winters).

Beginning in June and running through December 2014, all 17 CLIF Bar flavors will feature one of 20 adventure challenges on-package (available nationwide) to spark ideas and help people Meet the Moment through their own interpretation. The adventure challenges include: Get Your Feet Wet, Feel Gravity, Embrace the Elements, Paddle Out and many more.

Team CLIF Bar Athletes will also be participating. Twenty pro athletes including surfer Lakey Peterson, snowboarder Jeremy Jones and climber Alex Honnold will be interpreting the on-package challenges to Meet their Moments.

My idea of adventure might be very different from someone else’s, which is what’s cool about Meet the Moment. It gets you thinking and hopefully inspires you to try something new. It also supports a number of important causes which make the adventures that much more worthwhile,” Alex said.
