Bomber Gear, manufacturer of premium, technical paddlesports apparel and sprayskirts, kicked off the 2014 paddling season by signing 22 elite kayakers to its Pro Team roster. For 2014 the brand has enlisted some of the world’s greatest paddlers across all disciplines to put products to the test and represent the company within the paddling and greater outdoor communities.

“The pro team is a pivotal part of Bomber Gear’s design and marketing plan, and it reflects the brand’s continued growth and commitment to the outdoor industry,” said Jessica Prescott, marketing manager for Bomber Gear. “We’re investing more resources than ever before to deliver the highest quality products possible, including an all-new design studio, and we understand the value that athlete testing can bring to our processes. Each of these athletes shares our passion for creating premium products that deliver performance in every aspect, and we are honored to have them representing our brand on the water throughout the 2014 season.”

Bomber Gear’s pro team is comprised of both veteran and up-and-coming expedition paddlers, international adventurers, whitewater kayakers and freestyle boaters. Leading the Bomber Gear team will be celebrated white-water paddler Gareth Tate. Tate has long been known for pioneering steep creeks and wilderness runs in his backyard in Sierra and all over the world, and for his work as an adventure filmmaker, photographer and writer. When he’s not kayaking, he can be found teaching wilderness medicine classes. As Bomber Gear Team Manager, he will contribute extensive industry knowledge to guide and advise the team.
