In addition to new features and more RAM, Google has announced a number of fitness and travel apps that will be included in newer models of Google Glass. The announcement came just days before Google I/O 2014, which was held June 24-25 in San Francisco, California.

“You probably didn’t expect us back with another update so soon, but we’ve got a few new Glassware coming your way. Well, 12 to be exact,” Google Glass posted on its Google+ page.

In full, the new apps are Runtastic, 94Fifty Basketball, Zombies! Run, Duolingo, The Guardian, GuidiGO, Star Chart, Shazam, Goal.com, Livestream, musiXmatch, and Allthecooks (which already exists, but is receiving an upgrade). Whether you want to choose from a variety of pre-planned workouts or use GuidiGo to help you navigate around a new city, Google Glass has options with its expanded offerings.

New models will feature 2 GB of RAM, in comparison to the 1 GB offered by older models. On top of the apps and additional RAM, new Google Glass will feature a viewfinder that will allow users to frame and take photos more easily.

“When you say ‘Ok glass, show the viewfinder” you’ll see white L’s in the four corners of your Glass screen. You can then either take a photo by saying ‘Ok glass, take a picture,’ with a wink, or by pushing the camera button,” the Google+ account stated.

Lastly, there will be an improvement to battery life, although exact details have not yet been released.
