Tubbs Romp-to-Stomp Out Breast Cancer Event Surpasses $1 Million over 12 Years

For all the white snow laid down in the mountains on Saturday, March 1, pink was the color of the day. Participants in the 12th annual Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Series braved the various road closures to snowshoe in all their pink glory and raised more than $65,500 so far this year to help stomp out breast cancer.

The event has now raised more than $1 million for the Colorado Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. More than 1,900 people participated, including 134 breast cancer survivors that were honored during the closing ceremonies. Since the Series inception in 2003 the Tubbs Romp to Stomp has raised over $2.8 million dollars in North America for Susan G. Komen and Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Everyone had the usual smiles on their faces and had a fun time,” said Joan Davids, volunteer event coordinator. “I’m thrilled with the number of people who made it to the event given the weather and road conditions and am especially thrilled with surpassing our goal of $1 million!”

Donations will be accepted until the end of the month. To make a donation, go to http://tubbsromptostomp.com/co.
