Julbo USA, a leader in high-end performance eyewear, welcomes Ashley Arnold to its roster of sponsored athletes. Arnold, who took first at the famous Leadville 100 in mid August, will be a solid addition to Julbo’s already impressive team of endurance athletes including fellow ultrarunners: Ian Sharman, Krissy Moehl, Aliza Lapierre, Michael Wolfe,Gina Lucrezi, Michael Wardian and Joe Grant.
“I’m stoked to be part of the Julbo USA team and the brand itself,” said Arnold. “I have been racing in Julbos since the first pair I tested a couple of years ago. It’s crucial to have high-quality eyewear when running in the mountains. And running in the mountains is central to my life. Julbo shares that passion.”
Arnold came onto the ultrarunning scene as an associate editor for Trail Runner magazine in Carbondale, Colo. After finishing third in her first 100-miler at the Leadville 100 in 2010, Arnold knew her running potential had not yet been met. In just three years time, Arnold is now recognized as one of the top endurance athletes in her sport. Her 2013 season highlights include first place at this year’s Leadville 100 and first place at the White River 50M.
“Julbo is thrilled to welcome Ashley to our athlete team,” said Julbo USA CEO, Nick Yardley. “Having watched Ashley grow as an ultrarunner over the past four years, and watching her most recent win at the Leadville 100, we are confident that she will continue the Julbo legacy of standout endurance athletes.”
The addition of Arnold to Julbo’s team roster demonstrates the company’s continued dedication to not only build a recognizable team of endurance runners, but to also provide the finest performance optics for the industry’s distinguished athletes.
