    Yonder App Announces #ORshow Hashtag Contest at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market

    Yonder, the new, free, social iPhone app developed specifically for outdoor enthusiasts, raises the stakes at the 2013 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market with a Yonder #ORshow hashtag contest and a Four Seasons Resort stay as the grand prize.

    Outdoor Retailer attendees can enter the contest by simply logging into their Yonder account and sharing an outdoor experiences (photo or video) with the #ORshowhashtag. The contest starts Monday, July 29 and ends Monday, August 5, 2013. A panel of judges comprised of the Yonder office dogs will select the lucky winner who will receive a two-night stay at any Four Seasons Resort in the continental U.S. and Canada (excluding Manhattan). The winner will be announced on Facebook after the contest ends.

    “Our mission at Yonder is to inspire people to discover the outdoors,” said Justine Riegel, Marketing Manager for Yonder. “The Outdoor Retailer community are the brands and the products that enable our users to maximize their outdoor experiences and thirst for adventure.”

    The #ORshow hashtag contest isn’t about documenting the most extreme outdoor adventure but instead, sharing experiences that inspire others to get outside and do the same. Yonder is a place where users from around the world with a shared passion for the outdoors can find and share what inspires them.

    During Outdoor Retailer, the Yonder team will introduce the Yonder app to fellow attendees, as well as discuss partnership and advertising opportunities with outdoor industry brands, organizations, non-profits, and retailers.

    Yonder’s native ad platform allows advertisers to deliver native in-stream content to targeted users. By creating a native ad product that supports images and video, displayed organically in a user’s content feed with sophisticated targeting controls, Yonder can achieve a measurably higher engagement rate than standard, non-native display/banner ad products.

    Yonder is also seeking outdoor organizations as founding partners to join its Partner Places program. Founding partners will gain access to Yonder’s community of passionate outdoor enthusiasts and have the opportunity to promote a place with multiple photos, provide a detailed description and URL, and add events. Partner Places enhance Yonder’s community by providing dynamic access to information about the best outdoor destinations. Launch partners will be featured on the Yonder website.
