The Wacoal Sports Science Corp., CW-X, will launch the new TraXter collection of tights and tops, along with the new StabilyX Running Bra, in spring 2014. The Endurance Generator collection will expand to offer 3/4 length tights for women and shorts for men. The company introduced the concept of targeted muscle and joint support in performance apparel to the U.S. in 2002.
All CW-X spring/summer 2014 products will debut at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake, July 31 to Aug. 3, 2013 (booth no. 7001).
The Endurance Generator Support Web technology combines the best aspects of the StabilyX and Pro Support Webs to represent the most comprehensive muscle and joint support available for athletes. Made from new four-way stretch, UV-protective EXO-Stretch fabric, the tights start at the top by providing optimal support to the lower abdominal, lower back, hip flexor and gluteus medius muscles, combined with hip and pelvic joints for extra stability and power to the body’s core.
The Support Web winds down the legs, providing suspension to the quadriceps and hamstrings, effectively reducing workload during the pull phase.
The new 3/4 length Endurance Generator Tights for women ($150 sug. ret.) will include knee support, while the Endurance Generator Shorts for men ($120 sug. ret.) will stop above the knee. Both will be available in black with lime green and yellow contrast stitching to highlight the support technology.
The new CW-X TraXter performance apparel delivers Dynamic Compression and supports natural body movement with a combination of targeted directional-stretch and variable compression construction. Fabric panels in TraXter products are positioned in the tights and tops so the engineered stretch of the fabric follows the natural motion of the body at key joints to enhance natural freedom of movement while providing muscle support.
Variable Compression Construction design means major muscle groups such as the calves, quadriceps, hamstrings, gluteals and hip flexors experience greater compression for support and recovery benefits, while compression is lower at the joints to allow for freedom of motion. TraXter Tights ($65 sug. ret.) will be available in black with raspberry stitching for women and black with green stitching for men. Long-sleeved TraXter Tops ($70 sug. ret.) will be available in black for men and black with raspberry stitching for women.
The new CW-X StabilyX Running Bra ($70 sug. ret.) balances comfort and support for larger cup sizes up to 40DD. The bra features the patented CW-X Support Web in each cup, fully adjustable back and shoulder closures, and is suitable for larger cup size runners and other high impact activities. The StabilyX Running Bra will be available in black or white/purple colorways in 34D to 40DD.
The CW-X Revolution Tight for women will be offered in a new 3/4 length, with a black/multistar colorway for a sug. ret. of $180. The women’s StabilyX collection will expand to include new 3/4 length versions in black with fuschia and purple stitching ($90 sug. ret.), and black with a multicolored square print ($135 sug. ret.). Women’s StabilyX Ventilator Shorts will be offered in black with rainbow stitching ($80 sug. ret.).
The women’s Short-Sleeved Ventilator Web Top will be offered in a new black/rainbow stitched colorway ($85 sug. ret.), while the men’s short-sleeved Ventilator Web Top will be offered in black with new green/yellow stitching ($85 sug. ret.).
The Xtempo Running Bra ($65 sug. ret.) will be offered in a new black/fuschia/purple colorway, while the VersatX Running Bra ($65 sug. ret.) will be offered in new black/fuschia/purple and white/yellow/green colorways. The Xtra Support Running Bra III ($60 sug. ret.) will be available in new white and black/fuschia colorways for the spring.
The unisex line of Ventilator Compression Support Socks ($55 sug. ret.) will debut a new green color for the spring, while the Compression Support Socks ($45 sug. ret.) will have a new lavender color. CW-X Ventilator Compression Support Calf Sleeves ($50 sug. ret.) will have a new yellow colorway, while the Compression Support Calf Sleeves ($40 sug. ret.) will introduce a raspberry color for spring 2014.
