Outboard Extension Handle Gives Small Craft Owners Control

The extension permits full steering and throttle capability on any twist-grip outboard motor, without changing throttle tension adjustment.

Small boat owners know the importance of maintaining even weight distribution, particularly on a solo trip. The Handi-Mate outboard extension handle from Davis Instruments allows a boater to move into a safe, central position while still maintaining complete control of the craft.

By locking into one of six different lengths, the handle extends anywhere from 30″ to 47″. Changing its length requires only the press of a button and a turn of the locking knob. Lightweight for easy handling, the Handi-Mate weighs a mere 16 oz.

The extension permits full steering and throttle capability on any twist-grip outboard motor, without changing throttle tension adjustment. The tough polycarbonate head clamps over the outboard’s existing handle grip, while leaving access to the kill button.

Durable anodized aluminum construction and stainless steel hardware protect against rust and corrosion. Davis Instruments offers both replacement knobs and bodies for the Handi-Mate, and protects it with a one-year warranty. The Handi-Mate outboard extension handle retails for $46.99.
