Gerber, a leading global supplier of knives, tools and activity-specific gear, today announced its partnership with the GoPro Mountain Games. The country’s premier celebration of mountain sports, lifestyle and music, the GoPro Mountain Games run June 6-9, in Vail, Colorado, and align perfectly with Gerber’s Unstoppable campaign and rich brand heritage.
As the official knife and multi-tool sponsor of the GoPro Mountain Games, Gerber will exhibit at the event’s “Gear Town” showcasing the brand and its products alongside the company’s tricked out all-terrain vehicle nicknamed the “Black Boar.” Gerber has also partnered with GearJunkie.com, one of the outdoor industry’s most respected sources for news and product reviews, to present a one of a kind media experience around the GoPro Mountain Games.
Dubbed ‘Live at the Games’, this new content channel aims to be the most comprehensive media source at the GoPro Mountain Games and will feature interviews, original videos and race results. Edited live at the event, and enabled through innovative Brandlive communications software, ‘Live at the Games’ will be broadcast from Vail Village at the Gerber booth throughout the four-day event.
“The GoPro Mountain Games couldn’t be a better metaphor for the passion and drive that embody the unstoppable spirit of the Gerber brand and we’re honored to be a part of this event and this community,” said Joe Mattson, Gerber senior brand manager. “We’re coming loaded for bear and look forward to being part of the incredible line up of activities, showcasing our expanded line of problem-solving Outdoor gear and generally just mixing it up with everyone throughout the weekend.”
Gerber has produced a number of limited edition ‘golden axes’ that will be awarded to winners of each of the Mountain Games competitions. The golden axes are a symbol of determination, trial and triumph and are sure to be a coveted honor by Mountain Games athletes.
