North Sterling State Park will hold an open house on Nov. 26, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Northeastern Junior College (NJC) campus to provide information about the park and answer questions. The meeting will be held at NJC’s Hays Student Center in the Tennant Art Gallery. The gathering will be a casual forum where people can ask questions and learn about the park, including the fish kill and the park’s fishery, the marina bay construction, and the agency merger.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff from North Sterling, the Brush Area Office, as well as the Northeast Region Office will be available to answer questions.

“There are a lot of things going on at the park and I feel this will be a great way to talk with the public and let them know what is happening,’’ said Park Manager David Piper. “It will also be an opportunity to gain feedback from the public regarding the park and the agency.”

Colorado Parks and Wildlife manages 42 state parks, more than 300 state wildlife areas, all of Colorado’s wildlife, and a variety of outdoor recreation. For more information go to
