Missouri State Parks Hosts Campfire Cooking Program Oct. 20 at Graham Cave State Park

Campfire cooking can be one of the joys of being outdoors and you can learn this skill at a special program Saturday, Oct. 20 at Graham Cave State Park near Danville. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the free program will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at the park’s picnic shelter and the public is invited to attend.

Campfire cooking doesn’t have to mean just hot dogs on sticks and s’mores. Learn the skill of Dutch oven cooking to make stews and other treats.

For food preparation purposes, this program will require advance registration. Contact the park’s visitor center at 573-564-3476 to reserve your spot. Reservations must be made by 3 p.m. on Oct. 18.
