Video: Slackliner Completes a 6,000 Foot High Walk

American mountaineer, BASE jumper and high line walker Dean Potter is a bit of a daredevil. As if jumping off monumentally tall formations or slacklining thousands of feet up in the air isn’t risky enough, Potter had to go do it without a BASE rig, harness, or safety net in place for backup.

On Sunday, April 22, 2012 Potter walked across the Enshi Grand Canyon in China’s Hubei Province in just over two minutes; 6,000 feet up in the air, on a 2-centimeter-wide rope that is 131 feet long. Watch to see him in action and see how relieved he is himself to have made it.
