The North Face Master de Bouldering Highlight Video

The Master de Bouldering attracts the best climbers in the world, climbers like Yuhi Hirayama and Alex Johnson. This year, the fifth Master de Bouldering was held in Chile and saw some of the most intense competition the sport can provide.

For those of you who don’t know what bouldering is, it has been around since  the 19th century. It involves constructing an artificial climbing surface or carving a new one into a natural surface. This way the climb can have a controllable difficulty level.

This year more than 100 competitors faced off in Chile on a vertical wall almost 20 feet high. Cesar Grosso of Brazil took home the men’s title and Soho Langbehn of Chile edged out Alex Johnson from the USA for first place in the women’s competition.
