    HydroComp Adds Ian Mutnick as Special Projects Consultant

    HydroComp, Inc. of Durham, New Hampshire USA is pleased to announce the addition of Ian Mutnick, Special Projects Consultant.

    He will be providing part-time assistance to HydroComp in the areas of business development and technical management of focused client projects.

    Mr. Mutnick brings a wide range of business and technical expertise that is a particularly good fit with HydroComp’s products and services in the arena of applied hydrodynamics. This experience includes conducting resistance and propulsion experiments at NAVSEA Carderock in their towing basins and sea trials, and supporting the Office of Naval Research with transition and commercialization of marine technologies. Mr. Mutnick has a BS in Naval Architecture from the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture, a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a MBA from the University of Iowa.

    According to Managing Director, Jill Aaron, “We are pleased to add Ian to our staff, as he brings a skill set that nicely complements our brand and our business objectives. In particular, we see Ian helping to advance our position as a designer of highly efficient small thrusters for ROVs, AUVs, and other submersibles. His experience in hydrodynamic analysis with NAVSEA Carderock and for the Office of Naval Research will certainly contribute to the high level of competency that our customers have come to expect from HydroComp.”
