Mountainsmith Welcomes New Hires in Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes States

Colorado-based Mountainsmith is welcoming two new sales organizations to their growing team.  East Coast Action Sports, headed up by John Phaneuf and supported by associate Mike O’Neill, is coming on-board to cover the mid-Atlantic states including Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.  Great Lakes retailers in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana will recognize a familiar face when they see Mark Waddle of Active Pursuits Ltd. Mark and his partner, Elizabeth Dell, return to the Mountainsmith team after a four-year  hiatus.  The announcement was made by Jay Getzel, director of sales and marketing for Mountainsmith.

“We are excited to welcome both groups to the Mountainsmith family and we are confident that they will drive strong growth and visibility for our brand, “ commented Jay.  “Each bring a complimentary talent and professional perspective to their individual territories.  They understand their retailer’s needs and will work to dial in the perfect mix of products and services to accomplish our shared goals.  They have demonstrated success many times over and we know that it will be repeated for Mountainsmith.”

East Coast Action Sports has been serving the outdoor, footwear, winter and action sports markets for over 20 years, representing such quality brands as Adidas Outdoor, Bern Unlimited and Eurosock.  They are well-known in the mid-Atlantic territory for frequent and meaningful interaction with their retailers and look forward to continuing this track record with their Mountainsmith clients.

Active Pursuits Ltd. was formed in 2003 to cover the Great Lakes region for prestigious brands including Asolo, Horny Toad and Tubbs Snowshoes. Both Mark and Elizabeth have followed the success of Mountainsmith and are very enthused about rekindling their relationship with the company while continuing their exemplary service of which their retailers have become accustomed.
