    Colorado’s Lathrop State Park Closed to Boating Starting Nov. 1

    Walsenburg, CO. – After a great boating season in 2011, the boat ramps at Lathrop State Park will close for boating on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The boat ramps will re-open in April 2012.

    Lathrop State Park lies on a high plains grassland dotted with pinon and juniper and the majestic beauty of the Spanish Peaks. Lathrop is a popular place to enjoy summer boating, fishing, swimming, camping and hiking.

    Camping will remain open at Lathrop State Park through Nov. 30.
