BELLVUE, Colo. – Come join the fun, learn about nature and see Lory State Park change with the season. Park staff will lead you on a journey of discovery through our guided hikes and activities. Programs are free, however, please remember that all vehicles entering the park must purchase a $7 daily pass or display a $70 annual pass.

Aug. 13: Junior Ranger Adventure Program, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children, ages 7-11 years old, at the Soldier Canyon picnic area in Lory State Park. Join Linda Hamilton, Lory’s environmental education specialist, to discover the park’s rocks and wildlife, take a hike, interview a ranger and meet a new friend. Aug. 14: Almost Full Moon Hike, 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Join Lory’s park staff for a hike up the Timber trail discovering sights and sounds of the evening while catching glimpses of an almost full moon above us.
