    Human Resource Coordinator

    The Human Resources Coordinator supports and coordinates the efforts and operations of the BD, Inc. HR team to ensure a meaningful employee experience.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR Coordinator with a great deal of enthusiasm, initiative, and a strong desire to learn and act. The HR Coordinator is an integral part of our busy and fun HR team. Our goal is to ensure that our employees have a great work experience. The HR Coordinator is the face of BD’s Human Resource office; you are the recruiter, organizer, cheerleader, and a consistent and cheerful presence for our team.

    The HR Coordinator supports our hiring managers, applicants, and new employees through our recruiting process by coordinating recruiting from the position requisitions to on-boarding. You will write job ads and postings, schedule and conduct phone screens, on site interviews and room reservations. You’ll manage candidate correspondence to include monitoring and responding to requests, status or solicitation phone calls, and written letters to and from candidates. Enter and monitor candidate background checks and employment verifications and create and audit new hire personnel and benefits files. In other words, you make our hiring manager’s look good and create a seamless and organized recruiting process.

    The HR Coordinator is our fun ambassador! You will coordinate HR programs and employee engagement events such as Lunch N Learns, Soup’r Bowls, Salsa Fiesta cooking contests, and act as the HR representative and key member of the organizing teams in charge of the Annual Christmas and tenure awards events, and other parties. You will coordinate and participate in new hire orientation, participate in the design and delivery of orientation and ongoing employee engagement activities. You should be very comfortable using technology to streamline these events and meetings. You will create excitement and fun!

    The HR Coordinator ensures that we have accurate, legally compliant and well-kept employee files and information, and communications by maintaining all employee files and records paying special attention to SOX, ISO, and retention law requirements. You will manage the completion and effectiveness of employee change processes, paperwork and communications including new hire/on-boarding and terminations. Maintain all HR employee records through timely and accurate filing, mailing, updating, and shredding. You’ll manage and coordinate all communications and processes related to employee changes such as new hires introductions and separations. You will collaboratively maintain our HR Information.
    The HR Coordinator does a whole lot more and we will as ask you to actively participate in other HR projects and duties, such as but not limited to Talent Management initiatives, internal and external surveys, etc. You’ll need to collaboratively work to streamline, improve our HR processes.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelors Degree in HR, Business, or Liberal Arts is preferred; 3-5 years experience professional experience in HR and demonstrated experience in the above duties is required.

    Skills and General Experience:

    • You must demonstrate excellent customer service to your customers who include the every employee at the Black Diamond and your HR team.
    • You must have the ability to work as part of a team, but with a great deal of initiative and ownership. In other words, you are your own task master.
    • You need to be dependable and trustworthy, with the ability to keep information highly confidential.
    • You must be attentive to detail and be deadline oriented, with excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills. You must demonstrate a proactive approach to information gathering, planning, and problem-solving.
    • Great time-management, multi-tasking and follow-up skills are also a must.
    • Flexibility and resourcefulness are key attributes for this position.
    • Superb interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills will be required if you want to be successful here.
    • A positive attitude, a desire to learn from others and the ability to laugh at yourself and have fun are all important in this role.
