How To

Make a Hillbilly Hand Warmer to Keep your Hands Warm on the Trail

Its not always easy to keep warm on the trail. But if you make a “hillbilly hand warmer” you’ll be able to keep your mitts from getting too cold.

This is an easy way to keep your hands warm while on the trail, on the boat, or anything in-between.

    Supplies:

    • Empty metal coffee can
    • role of toilet paper
    • bottle of rubbing alcohol.

Its pretty simple but very effective.

    • Place the toilet paper role in the coffee can
    • pour the rubbing alcohol into the can
    • allow the toilet to soak it up
    • then lite it.

It will produce a small blue flame that is guaranteed to keep your hands nice and toasty for hours.
