How To

How to Maintain your Camping Cookware

Many avid campers purchase cookware specifically for their trips, and most often it is specially coated to keep it safe, but lets face it: It’s a camping trip!

That cookware gets knocked around and banged up from time to time. This can chip and crack the protective coating. Some people even stick with small cast iron skillets to avoid this. But both types can become ruined while stored for next year, or even when taken on a longer trip. Moisture can ruin the coating, causing foods to stick and/or burn.

To avoid this, pick up a pack of coffee filters. Set one between each dish when you store it. These cheap little miracles absorb moisture very well, and will allow your dishes to stay dry and last much, much longer.

    Happy camping:-)
