Episode one of the EpicTV series The Buddy System with Matt Philippi features the skier along with John Spriggs and several more friends in tow as they explore the Wyoming backcountry.

Philippi began his professional skiing career when he was a senior in high school at Maine’s Carrabassett Valley Academy. He dedicated equal parts of the next five years to college and skiing. After graduating from Colorado College with a history degree in 2009, he focused his attention on skiing at Jackson Hole, which he now calls home.

Despite the area being known as avalanche-prone, the group is drawn by the fresh powder and cliff jumps.
