King of the Air was so popular last year that Red Bull brought it back for a second year. Held in Cape Town, South Africa’s Big Bay, 24 of the best kiteboarders in the world competed for the title in front of a crowd of 12,000.

The head-to-head competition saw Kevin Langeree beat his fellow Netherlands natives Ruben Lenten and Steven Akkersdijk—who took second and third, respectively—in order to become the Red Bull King of the Air 2014 champion.
