Nick Visconti Named 2014 Head Snowboard Coach at Windells

Nick Visconti joins Windells as head coach.

Windells Snowboard Camp is proud to announce Nick Visconti as the 2014 Head Snowboard Coach. For over two decades, Windells Snowboard Camp & Academy has led in on and off-hill experiences for snow led youth. Windells offers the globe’s finest facilities for snowboarding/skiing, skateboarding, BMXing and action sports alike resting right below the ominous glades of infamous Mt. Hood, OR. The landscape’s terrain is perfect for Windells’ mission to promote campers’ personal and recreational development. As a kingpin for summer camps, a springboard for active lifestyle and the standard for summer snowboarding, Windells is exceptionally pleased to add Nick Visconti to the already outstanding team.

Nick Visconti has lived every aspect of camp for nearly fifteen consecutive years. Beginning in the summer of 2000 and in the following five years, Visconti visited as a camper. Annually thereafter, he took on the roles of snowboard coach, and in the more recent years has been an animated camp ambassador and Team Takeover pro athlete. With an unmatched zest for snowboarding and raw talent, his professional career has led to many accolades worth heralding, but it is his genuine heart to inspire that we feel most fortunate to have him on our team.

“Heart and soul are sometimes camouflaged in snowboarding’s progression of tricks and media overload, but it is what all snowboarders share, young and old, novice and professional. My heart for snowboarding and passions for freestyle were farmed at Windells and after years of being a pro athlete, I am excited to give back to the next generation of snowboarders what I once received: one hell of a summer snowboarding experience on a glaciered volcano with inspirational snowboarders that changed my life,” said Nick. Tim Windell has know Nick for over a decade, and with absolute trust in his abilities to lead the snow program, he says, “I am excited to have some one who has been involved with Windells since the early 2000’s, first as a camper then as a staff member and pro rider.”
