Video: Trailer for Surfing Documentary “Isolated”

The new surfing documentary Isolated tells the story of a group of feral surfers who embark on a trip to West Papau, an area where waves are still un-surfed. Although the initial idea for the film was focused solely on surfing culture, it grew into a larger story that examined the culture of the area, political unrest, human rights violations, and unethical mining.

If you’re looking for a surfing film that goes beyond the waves, this is it. “This unique, visually stunning film craves an international spotlight as it brings to light one of the world’s least documented places on earth,” the video’s description reads. “Isolated features never before seen footage of a ancient aboriginal culture as well as one of the most epic wave discoveries of the past 20 years. Already being lauded as Endless Summer meets The Cove, the film is guaranteed to cause international controversy and hopefully spark the change to save lives.”

The film is currently available on Vimeo on Demand to rent for $4.99 or buy for $9.99. Check out the trailer below:
