On land, hoverboards may still just be a hoax, but Franky Zapata, creator of the Revolutionary Flyboard, has invented the next best thing.
Set to be released later this month, the Hoverboard ZR is a wakeboarder’s dream. Like the Flyboard, the Hoverboard lifts off thanks to a personal propulsion system that is attached to the back of the board. This hose uses water to propel the device upwards and forward and, depending on the force, can help the board reach a height of 16.5 feet,
Controlled by a handheld device, the Hoverboard is also capable of reaching speeds up to 16 miles per hour. Currently, the board is retailing for $2,675 and is available for pre-order on Rocky Mountain Flyboard’s website.
